Individual thesis · Academic proposal

Reforma 155 · illustrated study · Illustrated interpretation of the project

THE IDEA

One idea, from the city to the interior.

At the intersection of Reforma and Insurgentes, a tower brings together offices, coliving and a convention center. A continuous frame and shared terraces connect the programs. The same idea carries into the lobby and kitchens: architecture and interiors as one language.

Project status
Individual architecture and interiors thesis. An academic proposal presented through studies and visualizations.
Role
Architecture, interiors, drawings, technical studies and visualization.
Credits
Individual thesis by Francisco Serrano Hess, Universidad Iberoamericana. Tutor: Juan Pablo Serrano.
01

A tower with several ways of living.

The thesis developed over two semesters at Universidad Iberoamericana: first the mixed-use architecture, then its interiors. Offices, coliving and a convention center are connected through independent circulation, shared terraces and a continuous frame unifying the complex.

02

From the urban scale to the entrance.

The site relates to four streets at the meeting of Reforma and Insurgentes. A planted base and open spaces mediate between tower and city. In the lobby, four timber-clad circulation volumes organize movement between continuous porcelain surfaces.

03

One idea, all the way to the kitchen.

The public kitchen uses three Dekton frames for hot preparation, cold preparation and desserts, with appliances and storage along a stainless-steel perimeter. The private kitchen contrasts a brass island and hood within a dark envelope. Elevator lobbies, stairs and coliving corridors extend the study of the architectural frame.
